A prominent Indian-American voice on X, Sidharth who posts on tech, investment and recently on Elon Musk's America Party, stirred a row on the social media platform through his Tamil supremacy as he called Tamil Nadu the greatest state of India.
Sidharth cited Viswanathan Anand , Gukesh, CV Raman, Ramanujan, AR Rahman, S Jaishankar, Abdul Kalam and Jayalalithaa to put forth his point as he added: "Mock us. Imitate us. We keep winning."
"This post is not to divide Indians. Just because I am proud of my Tamil heritage does not mean I am not proud of my Indian origin," he added.
"Sitting in America, this fake Indian American is trying to divide India on language lines. Liberal leftists like @Cloudwatch199 creates an illusion of a world where everything is driven by fair play while in reality, he is in USA to enrich himself at the cost of real Americans while he doesn't want Tamils to contribute to the cause of India," one wrote reacting to his post leading to an online squabble.
The Indian-American investor doubled down and said Tamil Nadu is the greatest state in India and the claim is fact-based. "Tamil Nadu makes India stronger. Every Indian should be proud of that," he wrote.
"If my pride in being Tamil triggers you, that’s on you, not me. Being proud of my language, heritage, and the achievements of Tamil people isn’t divisive. It’s a celebration of excellence. I’ve posted over 100 times praising India as a whole. Loving Tamil Nadu and loving India are not opposing ideas. Tamil Nadu is the greatest state in India , not because of emotion, but because of hard facts: world-class economic indicators, social progress, and visionary people," he wrote.
"All Indians should treat each other with mutual respect , no group is superior to another. India’s strength lies in its unity and the deep, interconnected history they all share. My post was simply a response to the ignorant, racist remarks made by a few low-IQ individuals spewing hate against Tamils from their basements," he added.
"India is what it is because every state, every language, every culture contributes to its greatness and Tamils are a proud and integral part of that legacy," he said.
