Nepal's GenZ protesters on Tuesday vandalized the private residences of President Ramchandra Paudel, (now resigned) Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and chased down finance minister Bishnu Prasad on street.

A video surfaced on social media in which finance minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was chased on a road and thrashed by demonstrators.

In the video, over two dozen people were seen chasing while Paudel was running for his life. A man was seen kicking and others beating him up.

Nepalese Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli resigned in the face of massive anti-government protests. Oli stepped down shortly after hundreds of agitators entered his office shouting slogans demanding his resignation for the death of at least 19 people in police action during the protests on Monday.

However, earlier in the day, hours before Oli's resignation, the protesters set on fire the Nepalese leader's private house in Balkot, and attacked residences of former prime minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Communication minister Prithvi Subba Gurung, former home minister Ramesh Lekhak, among others.

Demonstrations led by young people angry about the blocking of several social media sites gripped the country’s capital a day earlier, and police opened fired on the crowds, killing 19 people.

The ban was lifted on Tuesday, but the protests continued. Army helicopters ferried some ministers to safe places

Another video circulating on social media showed protesters vandalising the parliament of Nepal.

The mob also set the Supreme Court in Kathmandu on fire.

The protesters also attacked the private residence of President Paudel.

The agitators under the banner of Gen Z, shouted slogans such as "KP Chor, Desh Chhod" (KP thief, leave the country) and "Take Action Against Corrupt Leaders".

Protesters also torched the residence of former home minister Ramesh Lekhak at Naikap in Kathmandu, just a day after he resigned from his post, according to officials.
