NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party is forming the coalition government in Tamil Nadu, BJP K Annamalai said on Thursday, and exuded confidence on winning the next assembly polls, whether with AIADMK or any other party.
After Edappadi K Palaniswami ruled out a coalition government with the BJP, Annamalai said that if the AIADMK has a difference of opinion, it should talk to Union minister Amit Shah .
"The BJP is confident of forming a coalition government in Tamil Nadu. If the AIADMK has a difference of opinion, it should talk to Amit Shah," PTI quoted BJP leader as saying while talking to reporters.
Earlier, EPS , while speaking to reporters in Salem, said, “Our alliance would achieve a grand success in 2026. AIADMK will be victorious and will form a govt on its own."
This statement contradicts with Amit Shah's interview where he said that that the NDA led by the AIADMK in Tamil Nadu will form a coalition government.
The AIADMK and BJP came together for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. AIADMK walked out of the NDA in 2023, accusing Annamalai of insulting its leaders. After a bitter separation, the two parties came together on April 11.
With eight months remaining until election, EPS said in Salem that there are more parties that will join the AIADMK alliance.
