It might be time to consider switching to the ultimate Galaxy Watch. Currys has just launched an 'epic' deal on the ultimate Ultra version of Samsung's wearable which slashes the price of this device to just £399. That's £200 less than its RRP from Samsung and it even beats the 'lowest ever' Argos price which is currently £469.

The only way you can beat that Galaxy Watch Ultra deal is if you have Prime and you act fast. Amazon's Prime Day sale has just begun and lasts all week. The firm is currently offering those who subscribe the chance to get the Ultra for just £349. YOU CAN SEE THE DEAL HERE

So what's so different about the Watch Ultra from the standard models?

This device gets a more rugged design that's made from tough titanium. If you don't want a device that is prone to breaking this is definitely worth considering with Samsung boasting that this is officially its "toughest Galaxy Watch ever".

There's also better water resistance, along with coping with high altitudes and bigger changes in temperature. So, if you head up a mountain and things drop to -20 degrees the Ultra shouldn't let you down.

Another bonus on this device is the Quick Button, which takes you to favourite apps and other features via a simple tap. That means you can launch a workout or start a run without scrolling through endless menus on the big and bright display.

Other extras worth a mention include an in-built alarm should you get in trouble and find you need some help, a special night mode which turns the display black and red plus there is highly accurate GPS for pinpoint location accuracy.

This premium Galaxy Watch also gets some impressive battery stats with it capable of lasting for up to 100 hours before needing a refill.

The only thing you need to know before tapping the 'buy' button is that something even better could be coming soon.

Samsung has confirmed that a major Unpacked event is taking place tomorrow, and a new range of Galaxy Watches could be the stars of the show.

We won't know more details until the showcase begins - things kicks off in New York from 10am local time, that's 3pm BST.
