Unlike other members of the Royal Family, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry made a swift entrance at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's wedding on this day in 2018. Eugenie and Jack, who have now been married for seven years, tied the knot at the same venue that Harry and Meghan had got married at just five months earlier.
Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, were pictured getting out of a car outside of venue before they headed straight inside - and seemingly avoided any awaiting cameras. The couple are said to have made their quick entrance due to not wanting to take the attention away from Eugenie and Jack. Eugenie's engagement to Jack was announced in January 2018, but the couple had reportedly got engaged a few months prior.
The Royal Family chose to delay their announcement due to Harry and Meghan's engagement in November 2017 - and Harry's position in the line of succession
The precedence that Harry and Meghan's wedding took meant that the couple also had to postpone their wedding to much later in the year.
As well as their family members, guests at the couple's wedding included some well-known celebrities such as Naomi Campbell and Robbie Williams.
The rows of the royal box, which are located closest to the altar, were lined with guests such as Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip and King Charles.
Also in the front row were Eugenie's parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and her older sister, Princess Beatrice.
While the late Queen was not sat in the lower level, she had clear view of the proceedings, as an empty seat had been left in front of her. This is reportedly due to royal protocol, which states it's forbidden to sit in front of the monarch.
The Daily Mail also previously reported that late Queen chose not to sit on the lower level, the empty seat, because of its uncomfortable seating.
