Meghan Markle accused of copying Victoria Beckham as Netflix war rumbles on

Meghan Markle has been accused of copying Victoria Beckham by fans, after the two women were spotted wearing an extremely similar outfit just a few days apart. The Duchess of Sussex travelled to Washington, D.C., on Tuesdayto speak at the Fortune Most Powerful Women summit about her Netflix partnership and her show.

Meghan looked elegant in an all-cream ensemble, which consisted of a midi pencil leather skirt by Brochu Walker and a cream blouse. She also wore pointed beige heels. Meanwhile, last Wednesday, David Beckham's wife attended the premiere of her own eponymous Netflix show, wearing a very similar cream outfit.

Walking the red carpet in London, Victoria sported a white, maxi pencil skirt, a cream blouse with a similar design to Meghan's but completed the outfit with a white blazer on top and a pair of black heeled sandals.

However, fans were quick to spot the similarities between the two outfits and took to social media to express their views.

One user wrote on fashion page, Remoulade Sauce's, X account, which compared the two: "Why am I not surprized?(sic) VB documentary came in at number three today in the viewings report."

Another one said: "Now that I see it, I can't unsee it and it's scary. It's as if she's thinking if she copies enough Victoria, she'll have a hit show too and Netflix will give her another chance."

A third one asked: "She looked the best she has in a while, but can't she be her own person?"

A fourth one added: "Ms Markle has a new girl crush."

A fifth one commented: "She has been copying VB for years."

A sixth one exclaimed: "Oh my, even down to the colour of nail polish."

Another one opined: "Of all the people she's copied, Victoria's style looks the best on Megan."

But there were others who loved Meghan Markle's look and said it looked very similar to the fashion sported by her Suits character, Rachel Zane.

One user said on Instagram: "Has a Suits vibe.... [heart eyed emoi]"

Another one wrote: "OMG, I love everything about this outfit. It's giving Rachel Zane."

A third one said: "Look at Megan out here in her Rachel Zane outfit."

A fourth one commented: "his woman perfected the pencil skirt from several years ago as Rachel Zane. Another one of my favorite outfits. She's quality. She's class. She's smart and eloquent and more than all that, she is DOING!!"

The Duchess's show, With Love, Meghan first ran on the streaming platform in March this year, with its second season released in August.

Its launch coincided with the unveiling of Meghan's As Ever brand, with her first products including her raspberry jam, and the flower sprinkles she repeatedly promotes throughout the show.

But the eight-part series, which sees the duchess give hosting tips and cooking with her celebrity friends, was savaged by critics and plummeted in rankings.

Meanwhile, Ms Beckham's eponymous Netflix show has been trending on the streaming in its debut week following its release.
