Jack Whitehall was among the many famous faces to descend to Silverstone ahead of the highly anticipated British Grand Prix, but the English comedian was quickly left embarrassed. During the famous Grid Walk, the Bad Education star was gestured to continue on the stroll but was unaware that Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton was cutting across.
After taking just one forward, Jack unknowingly stepped in Lewis's way, forcing the racer's body to collide with his shoulder. The 40-year-old seemed to brush off the clash and gave Jack a friendly pat on the shoulder while he continued on to his race. The father-of-one seemed instantly embarrassed by the accidental clash as he abruptly stopped and uttered: "Sorry, Lewis."
As the race car driver went on, the camera panned back to the comedian, who physically winced at the awkward interaction and buried his face in his hand.
Jack addressed the clash during an interview with Sky Sports and said: "Just now when I was being invited to the grid I nearly body-checked Sir Lewis Hamilton.
"I don't know whether I'm going to be invited back again, it was a very cold stare."
The actor, who was accompanied to Silverstone by his mum, Hilary speculated that the icy blunder pay back for his past jokes about Lewis. He added: "Maybe that was for the jokes I made at F1 75 as well, and not just the body-check.

"My mum is very excited to see Martin Brundle, and I brought her with me. She said that he is her hall pass, whatever that means," Jack continued.
Jack and Lewis have met several times before and were famously acquainted at the Graham Norton show, where they shared the sofa in 2015.
Jack later shared the clip on social media, and his fans found the moment hilarious, including one who wrote: "Ok, but she DID tell him he could go. Still funny, though. Oop."
Another joked: "Crashing into Lewis, off track, on home soil is sacrilegious my friend."
A third commented: "That has to be a life signature moment for Jack and perhaps only he could've got away with it!" While another fan simply laughed: "Couldn't have planned it."
