Vicky McClureis set for a big career change, it has been revealed. TheLine of Duty actress is best known for her career in front of the camera.
However, in a big announcement by band Reverend and the Makers, the star is set to be joining them on a new track. The band took to social media to make the revelation.
Taking to Twitter /X the band excitedly wrote: "ANNOUNCEMENT KLAXON." They then penned: "Absolutely buzzing to announce we have a new single about to drop featuring, on lead vocals for the first time ever, the living legend @Vicky_McClure ’ (plus a bit on @jonathanowen71 on bass)

"The video also features another living legend so stay tuned for that. Let’s have some love for Vicky the singer eh?"
The band also shared a teaser clip of the tune's video. The song, called Haircut is coming soon and the video showed the actress and lead singer Jon McClure performing to a jubilant crowd.
Vicky reshared the post to her own page and added: "First for everything! No one cooler to do it with! @Reverend_Makers," followed by three red love heart emojis.
Fans were loving the news, with one user commenting: "Is there anything Vicky McClure cant do? Nice to see another McClure join The Makers." Another added: "Proper tunnnnnnne," while a third simply said: "Oh wow."
Vicky's appearance with the band comes as they smashed their Glastonbury set at the weekend. The actress isn't stepping back from the small screen, however, with her latest announcement.
She is also set to star in an upcoming Channel 5 drama titled Insomnia. The new psychological thriller follows Emma (Vicky), who is a successful woman. However, she suffers with sleep deprivation weeks before turning 40.
The Radio Times billed it: "Successful lawyer Emma Averill is terrified that she is destined to suffer the same fate as her mother and experience a violent psychotic breakdown on her 40th birthday as a result of inherited 'bad blood'.
“A couple of weeks before the milestone, Emma stops sleeping and her world begins to unravel, straining her relationship with her husband Robert and children Chloe and Will. As her mental state fractures, Emma resolves to confront her family history to prevent tragedy striking successive generations."
As well as Vicky, the thriller has assembled a cast including Tom Cullen, Leanne Best and Jade Harrison. The drama was initially a Paramount+ series before making its way to Five.
The six-part series is an adaptation of the 2022 novel of the same name. It was wrote by bestselling author Sarah Pinborough. Vicky now features as Executive Producer on the on-screen production.
