M&S shoppers praise 'versatile' suede jacket that 'goes with anything'

I've seen suede jackets everywhere lately. I grabbed a Stradivarius style earlier in the summer, but it quickly sold out. Luckily, I've found a near-identical version at M&S with rave reviews.

The Suedette Lightweight Jacket (£59) has a solid 4-9-star rating from more than 180 shoppers. Made from soft faux suede, it's cut in a regular fit with a neat collar and button fastenings - the kind of versatile shape that works with pretty much anything.

I've worn my version with everything from relaxed wide-leg jeans to a brown mini skirt. But it would also work with a knit dress and ankle boots for a cosy autumn look.

Otherwise, it'll look chic with tailored trousers and loafers for a smart, 70s-inspired office look. And for in-between weather days, it'll go great with a white T-shirt and denim shorts.

As mentioned, suede jackets are everywhere, so there are lots of options. This Mint Velvet pieceis expensive at £285, but it's a timeless design that's available in four colours.

Alternatively, New Look's Suede Biker Jacket (£45.99) is selling fast. This happy reviewer said: "Beautiful jacket, it's such a bargain in the sale, although I think I'd be happy to pay full price. It could be worn casually or for an evening event."

Back to M&S, the majority of shoppers love this Suedette Lightweight Jacket. One person said: "Great versatile jacket. You can dress it up or down as it goes with lots of things."

A second fan chimed in: "Beautiful jacket, gorgeous colour and very flattering, goes with anything, super versatile, would recommend buying."

But it isn't all good news. This three-star review reads: "Some kind of pocket would have been good for a phone." And someone else noted: "Lovely product, but the medium was very small and the large swamped me."

On a more positive note, this M&S customer piped up: "I love everything about this jacket, particularly the colour and length! I would definitely recommend. It's a great buy."

And this user added: "Delighted with my new jacket. Smart but casual. Looks great yet easy to wear over dresses or trousers."
