A Pussycat Dolls reunion is in the works, but things have hit a "difficult" stage. The chart-mauling band, famed for their hits including Don't Cha and Buttons, dominated the charts between 2003 and 2010, selling 15 million albums across the globe, with 40 million sales of their singles, despite releasing just two studio albums. They also racked up a string of awards, as well as a Grammy nomination for their 2006 smash hit, Stickwitu.
In 2019, Kimberly Wyatt was joined by her bandmates Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, Carmit Bachar, and Jessica Suttafor a short-lived reunion. However, Melody Thornton wasn't part of the reunion. They had planned a global tour following the reaction to their new single, React, which they debuted on The X Factor, the show on which Scherzinger was sitting on the judging panel.
The tour was eventually pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic, which rapidly swept across the world. But sadly, for the Dolls and their fans, it never materialised, with Nicole confirming the cancellation and the reunion via an Instagram post citing "evolving circumstances," which Kimberly found out about moments before going live on Dancing On Ice.

Now, three years after the tour was officially cancelled in 2022, Kimberly, 43, has revealed that she is working on a special project – but it's been difficult getting the Dolls on the same page. "I'd like to think so," she said when asked if there could be a reunion. She went on to exclusively tell the Mirror: "It's really difficult to get everybody on the same page.
"We're in a place now where women need to support women and come together to create something really beautiful. I've always felt like maybe that could happen. There's so many things going on that make me feel like maybe it won't at the same time." In 2021, it was claimed that Scherzinger was refusing to participate in the tour and was being sued by the Dolls' founder, Robin Antin.
Reports claimed that Scherzinger had signed to take 49 per cent of the earnings from the tour, but wouldn't get on stage unless this rose to 75 per cent, including overall creative control. The dispute was eventually settled in November 2024, with no further details being disclosed, while Nicole later confirmed she would consider another reunion. Previously, Kimberly told us that there had been "a lot" going on between Scherzinger and Antin, which resulted in the legal battle.
Now, Kimberly explained that she has a documentary in the pipeline, which she would love her bandmates to get involved with. "I've got a documentary which could be made if the girls want to do it," she revealed. She went on to say: "But getting women all on the same page is a difficult task. I can't help but always try because I love it."
"There's so much to unpack," she said. But it's not just the Dolls' chart success which Kimberly is proud of; instead, it was the decade of hard work to prove themselves, often performing at bars in Los Angeles. "With the likes of Scarlett Johansson, Britney Spears, Kelly Clarkson, there's just so many people that would come and be a part of the dolls," she gushed.
She added: "I mean, starting at The Viper Room with Johnny Depp – I would love to tell that story, it's the best of the Noughties, right there on Sunset Strip in LA, so we'll see." Kimberly says their track Don't Cha will always be a fond memory for her, as it sparked success "almost overnight".

"I'm so proud, Pussycat Doll once, Pussycat Doll for life," she exclaimed, adding: "I've had the most amazing experiences meeting so many brilliant people around the world. And to now be on Hits Radio every Sunday, DJ'ing, I have my DJ dance show called Don't You Disco, with dancers and choreography, playing Pussycat Dolls tunes.
"I still meet, especially at pride events, people whose lives were changed because of the Dolls, they've been in tears, because it helped them feel seen," she said of their legacy, before continuing to say: "They could have the confidence that maybe life didn't always allow them to feel that they could be.
"So that makes me really proud to have felt that maybe I made a difference to get my stilettos on, get my leg up in the air and singing songs like Don't Cha and React." While attending the National Television Awards, Kimberly explained that her "guilty pleasures" were Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
SAS is a show she could picture herself on, saying she's "always up for a challenge." Over the years, she says that she has "pushed herself" in reality television, but admits another aspect of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, could trip her up. "It's the psychological stuff that they get you on," Kimberly said, before going on to add: "You never know how you're going to react, unless you're thrown into it.
"There's not really any experiences out there that do that, unless you go on telly and share it with the world!"
