Jack Grealish is in talks with Everton over a move that could grant him a route out of Manchester City with the playmaker's future at the Etihad appearing to be over.
Four years after his then British-record £100million move Grealish could now move to the Toffees with David Moyes looking to bolster his squad. City are open to the player's exit and will let him leave if the right deal is tabled.
Grealish's playing time gradually decreased last term and he wasn't part of the Club World Cup squad. He is expected to find a new club before this summer's transfer window closes, reports the Telegraph, and Everton have now expressed an interest in taking the ex-Aston Villa man.
Talks between the clubs are at an early stage, with those on Merseyside exploring a possible deal which could be a season-long loan. A potential hurdle could be Grealish's hefty wages, which may leave City needing to pay a percentage of them.
Grealish has been working with a personal trainer, Jamie Reynolds, to ensure he is prime condition for a move this summer. The player did train with Pep Guardiola’s squad on Tuesday at City’s open day in front of fans

The City boss admitted he could not guarantee Grealish regular football going forward and the club have welcomed more new arrivals who likely to push the Englishman further down the pecking order. Rayan Cherki signed from Lyon and is likely to play ahead of Grealish.
The Catalan said last May: “I understand all the frustrations of all my players. It’s so good to have a dream to play in the World Cup and the European Championship with his national team. I’d be concerned if it was otherwise.”
The 29-year-old is aware that with the World Cup coming next summer he needs regular minutes to prove to Thomas Tuchel that he is worthy of a recall.
The German said: "So is he a player who can be available and have an impact in our squad? Yes - 100 per cent. But lately he simply has no rhythm, and he knows that himself. I think Jack gets better and better the more minutes he plays. He has the character to be the glue in a team, it is easy for youngsters to attach to him."
Guardiola only started Grealish once in the Premier League throughout 2025 and he was an unused substitute in the FA Cup final loss.
