A police investigation has been launched after British man was found dead in Ibiza.
The man, said to be aged between 45 and 50, was already in cardiac arrest when emergency responders arrived. He died at the scene following unsuccessful attempts to revive him, believed to have lasted more than an hour.
An autopsy has yet to take place, but sources close to the investigation said the possibility his death was linked to drug consumption was being investigated. The alert was raised around 12.30am this morning in the popular resort of Playa d'en Bossa, near a four-star hotel called Ibiza Twiins.

Last month, a two-year-old British boy tragically died after getting into trouble while swimming in a pool at a private villa in Ibiza. The incident happened shortly before 10.40am on June 5 at a holiday home on the northern part of the popular Spanish island. The young boy was found in the pool without a pulse, according to local news outlet Diario de Ibiza.
Emergency services rushed to the villa following a report of an unresponsive child just before 11am local time. First to arrive at the holiday home was the basic life support ambulance (BLS). These ambulances are equipped with essential equipment for providing basic life support, such as oxygen, portable devices for respiratory tract care and defibrillators.
As well as the Basic Life Support crew, one Advanced Life Support ambulance attended with teams spending an hour trying to save the boy's life. But sadly, despite the best efforts of medical staff. the toddler, who has not yet been identified, was unable to be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Approximately 800,000 British tourists visit Ibiza annually. In 2023, around 25 per cent of the total number of tourists in the Spanish island were from the UK.
