Marcus Rashford has been hailed as "refreshing" and a "humble guy" by Amadou Onana. The Manchester United talent spent the latter half of the 2024/25 Premier League season on loan with Aston Villa after falling out of favour under Ruben Amorim.
However, Onana had nothing but praise for the England international, who scored four goals and provided six assists in 17 games for the Villains. When asked what it was like to play alongside the 27-year-old on , Onana said: "Refreshing bro.
"You know when someone touches the ball, you can tell they've been there, they've played at the highest level. If you remember the PSG [vs] United [game] back then, that Marcus Rashford.

"And with some of the things he does, you just know, 'Yeah, you've been there. You know what you're doing and you know what you're talking about.' Really, really cool guy. Humble guy.
"It's a pleasure to share the dressing room with people like that, you know? Cause he's a good guy, and an amazing player - and someone that I personally, in my young age, can learn a lot from."
It comes as Rashford's future has been thrown into question at Old Trafford as he returns to his parent club from his successful loan. The forward, who has spent the entirety of his career on the books of his boyhood side, isn't expected to work his way back into Amorim's plans for next season, with the Portuguese tactician looking elsewhere to revitalise the squad he inherited from Erik ten Hag.
United have already struck a £62.5million deal with Wolves for Matheus Cunha, and are seeking to acquire Bryan Mbeumo from Brentford. The Red Devils initially saw a bid worth up to £55m for the 25-year-old winger knocked back.
However, it is said that they have now submitted an improved bid exceeding £60m to carry a deal over the line. Meanwhile, United have also been linked with a plethora of strikers this summer, including Viktor Gyokeres, Victor Osimhen, Beto and Christopher Nkunku.

As for Rashford, it appears as though the star is stuck in limbo with three years left on his contract for the time being. Villa look unlikely to part ways with the £40m that United are asking for to make a move permanent.
And Rashford himself may have his own reservations of playing for a side that won't compete in the Champions League in 2025/26, particularly given he hopes to work his way back into the England squad under Thomas Tuchel.
The forward was said to be holding out hope for a move to Barcelona this summer, although with the La Liga giants closing in on securing the services of Athletic Club's Nico Williams, as well as Copenhagen's Roony Bardghji, any chances of a deal coming to fruition for Rashford are slimming by the day.
Elsewhere, Newcastle United are also said to be interested on bringing Rashford to St. James' Park on loan for 2025/26. But as United would prefer to strike a deal for a permanent exit for Rashford, it is unknown as to whether they will be willing to let the star join the Magpies on a temporary basis.
