A man from Chandni Chowk, identified as Faizal, has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a girl after pretending to be someone else.
According to police, Faizal used the fake name ‘Rahul’ to gain the girl's trust, entered into a relationship with her, and later asked her to convert.
The girl informed her parents, and an FIR was filed soon after.
Police said Faizal had been in contact with the girl since 2022 through Facebook, using the name Rahul.
Over time, he met her several times and allegedly had sexual relations with her, promising marriage.
The case was registered at Nabi Karim police station, and Faizal has now been booked under charges of rape and other serious offences.
An officer confirmed that Faizal has been sent to judicial custody.
The girl's official statement will soon be recorded before a magistrate, and a chargesheet will be filed in court.
