On the occasion of the 79th Independence Day of the country, the State Bank of India (SBI) has given a very special gift to Agniveers. Now Agniveers serving under the Agniveer scheme will be able to get a personal loan of up to Rs 4 lakh without any guarantee. This step is in the direction of empowering those youth who protect the country by serving in the army for a few years.

Without a guarantee, without a processing fee, the loan will be available directly.

Under this scheme, Agniveers will not have to provide any kind of property or guarantee for the loan. Also, the processing fee charged on taking a loan has been completely waived. That is, Agniveers will not have to bear any additional expense to take a loan.

SBI said that this scheme is only for those Agniveers whose salary account is in SBI. With this, the bank already has information about the income and service status of the Agniveers, which makes the loan process even easier.

Relief will also be available in repayment.

SBI has also made loan repayment easy and flexible. Agniveers will have to repay this loan in the same period for which they have to serve in the army. This will not make them feel any additional financial pressure, and they will be able to repay the loan comfortably during their service period.

Special interest rate for defense personnel

SBI has given another big relief not only for Agniveers but also for all defense personnel. Till 30 September 2025, all defense forces personnel will be given a minimum interest rate of only 10.50% on personal loans. Usually, these rates are higher than this.

SBI Chairman said, "This is just a beginning."

Announcing this scheme, SBI Chairman C.S. Shetty said, "We believe that the youth who dedicate their lives to protect the country deserve our full support to shape their future. This zero processing fee is just a beginning. In the coming time, we will keep bringing more such products which will strengthen our heroes at every step.
