Interested candidates can apply till 28 July 2025. The selection will be done in four stages. In the first phase, there will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). In which 100 objective questions will be asked. This will be followed by document verification and a medical fitness test. Finally, the final merit list will be released. One-third of marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in CBT. In the exam, questions will be asked about Mathematics, General Science, Logical Ability, and General Awareness, in which special focus will be on Physics. The exam will be conducted in regional languages including Hindi and English.

The fee for the General and OBC categories is Rs 500, while for SC/ST, women, and Divyang categories it is Rs 250.
Keep this in mind while preparing.
Railway competitive exam expert Rajiv Ranjan says that to succeed in this recruitment, a strong hold on Mathematics and General Science, especially Physics, is necessary. He said that in Mathematics, practices topics like average, percentage, ratio, and time-distance work daily, and in Science, understands the concepts of unit, electricity, measurement and basic machinery well. Also remember Static GK i.e. permanent general knowledge like railway zones, headquarters, and national facts, and keep an eye on current affairs, because questions from government schemes and important events can also come in CBT. According to Rajiv Ranjan, mere memorization is not enough, to understand every question with logic, solve old papers, give mock tests, and learn from mistakes. Daily revision of Static GK and current affairs is equally important. Accuracy, speed, and confidence are the real keys to success.
The selected candidates can be appointed in any zone of Indian Railways. They will get salary and other allowances as per the rules of the Central Government. Fill the form before the last date of application and leave no stone unturned in preparation because such an opportunity for a government job in Railways does not come again and again.
