For the position of Assistant Town Planner, a postgraduate diploma from a recognized institution is required. For the position of Research Assistant, a graduate degree in technology, civil, or electrical engineering is required.

The minimum age limit for these positions is 21 years, and the maximum age is 40 years. Age relaxation is provided for reserved categories, with SC/ST candidates receiving a 5-year relaxation and OBC candidates receiving a 3-year relaxation.

Application fees are determined by category: ₹125 for general and OBC candidates, ₹65 for SC/ST candidates, and candidates with disabilities will only be required to pay a processing fee. The fee can be paid online.

The selection process will be based on a written examination and document verification. The examination will include questions on general studies, subject-related skills, and reasoning.

Candidates selected for the position of Assistant Town Planner will receive a salary of ₹15,600 to ₹39,100 under the Level-7 pay scale. For Research Assistant positions, the salary is ₹44,900 to ₹142,400. Additionally, the benefits of DA, HRA, and other government allowances will also be provided.
