The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) 2025 concluded successfully on Sunday, August 3, 2025, with more than 2,42,000 candidates appearing for the exam. The entrance test, conducted by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), is held for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses in medical colleges across India.
The examination was conducted in a single shift from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at 1,052 exam centres across 301 cities. Given the sheer number of participants, NEET PG continues to hold its position as one of India’s largest computer-based medical entrance examinations conducted in a single session.
NEET PG 2025: Nation's Largest Single-Session Medical Entrance ExamNBEMS left no stone unturned to ensure the fair and smooth conduct of the exam. To eliminate any chances of malpractice or unfair means, the board deployed over 2,200 faculty members from various reputed medical colleges and recognized hospitals to oversee the examination process.
In a proactive approach, NBEMS had written to Chief Secretaries and Director Generals of Police (DGPs) of all states, requesting them to ensure strict law and order, cyber security, and uninterrupted power supply at the examination centres. The board also coordinated with local district administrations and police units for additional on-ground support.
To prevent cyber fraud during the examination, NBEMS sought assistance from the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), an arm of the Ministry of Home Affairs. A dedicated team of over 300 cyber commandos was stationed at various sensitive centres to thwart any attempts of malpractice.
Additionally, over 200 personnel were deployed at the I4C headquarters to monitor real-time CCTV feeds from all exam centres. All centres were also equipped with mobile signal jammers to block unauthorized communication during the exam duration.
